As a veteran in the San Diego music scene, Mikey Beats has lived and breathed the industry since his teens. Starting his career as a musician playing the bass guitar in a local band, he learned how showmanship, crowd interaction and musical ability goes a long way when earning the respect from both fans and booking agents.
Now with over 10 years of music industry experience under his belt, he’s currently Monster Energy Drink’s resident touring dj, as well as part owner of Sleeping Giant Music—a Marketing agency for more than 10 other San Diego based artists and djs. Mikey plays out several times a week and his repertoire spans 90s hip hop and R & B, rock and all the latest party-rockin’ club favorites.
So far in his career he’s played and headlined at every major San Diego venue, as has been brought in to play at countless other clubs and events across the country. He’s also opened for hip hop legends like the Wu Tang Clan, Z-Trip and De La Soul.
