DJ Still Life has been hooked on musical crack for the majority of his life. Starting out on percussion (and happy to admit that the movie "Drumline" had him shook, shouts out to all the drum majors) the Bay Area native switched to the wheels of steel upon arrival in San Diego in order to keep the late night practice sessions at a tolerable volume. Hip-hop and its precursors are an obsession, though an interest in anything that rattles the brain keeps his sets eclectic. When he's not rocking posh clubs and hole in the wall bars state wide, he can be found handling the used vinyl inventory for M-Theory Records in South Park and Mission Hills. Like many of the DJs who have influenced him over the years, Still Life is still looking for the perfect beat.
