Rising gas prices

I have been hearing a lot of people complain about rising gas prices.  I am definitely feeling that in my wallet.

Rising gas prices suck!

Here’s a pic of my 1964 Oldsmoblie Jetstar.  I love her, but she’s hurting me so…

I’m not so much posting this because it’s super fresh (there are some nice lines tho) but more because I eat lunch in this park every day. It’s like a minute from where I work, and is pretty much always beautiful. I sometimes bust raps under my breath, but didn’t know it was like some sort of freestyle hot spot. Also, I lied about the busting raps part. I don’t gets down like that.

I recently had the pleasure of opening for Scooter & Lavelle on a Sunday afternoon at The Wave House in

Mission Beach, San Diego.

It was of the chain.

2x4 at Wave House

I also recently had the pleasure of opening for Scooter on a Tuesday morning at Bandlot in

Yucca Valley, B.F.E.

That too was off the chain.

King Scooter

I love us!

I had to post this dude who was a couple knuckles deep in his date.  Wow.  BTW, I can see you.

MBSearching for Hoffa.

I came across this pic in Blog world.  That was my high school, literally.  Cameron Crowe wrote the film “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” which was based on my high school, Clairemont High School, in the late 70’s.  If you haven’t seen the film, it’s a classic.  Sean Penn plays Spicoli which is a crossed up surfer dude, much like I tried to be.  Anyways, the chick in the pic has hot legs.

My Alma Matter

Didn’t know what to think about this one for a minute, but now I’m really feeling it. The beat reminds me of some 80’s horror/sci-fi movie soundtrack. And it’s been a minute since I’ve really heard Slim thug. Also, it feels like I’m in Texas, the way the weather’s been in NYC lately. Monsoons n shit.

I don’t want want you to think I’m on some other shit with this, ’cause it’s PURE HOT FIRE. Before you dismiss this as some Tex-Mex silliness by dudes in cowboy hats (dudes are Peruvian, so don’t get it twisted), give an honest listen and tell me it doesn’t destroy. Just ask the leotard wearing dancer who comes on to add some shake at the beginning, and JUST SEE if I’m not playing in one of my sets coming up.

It gives you wings…

SGM in Vegas

SOooOoo…

I just got back from Vegas. Whoa. Best trip of my life. I was out there with my girl, SGM heads and the Undisputed crew and am a new man. On Tuesday night Undisputed had a showcase feature these Djs:

Chris Cutz
Fresh One
Scooter
Mike B
Crooked
Neva
Cobra
Justin Hoffman
Sid Viscious
Reflex
Rush

The music was off the chain!!! I guess I was that guy in front of the booth dancing my ass off. Freaking stuffy ass people need to learn to cut loose. Ok, I was wasted. Anyways, the vibe was sick, the beats were dope and I had a blast.

I made some new friends out there. In particular Sid Vicious who is a really down to earf dude. He used to be the drummer for a band called, “Strife.” If you’re reading this Sid, thanx for the breakfast.

I got to kick it with Mike Drummond and his roll dogg Brit, these two are a hand full for sure! The ride back to SD sucked ass! It took us 5 hours to get home. Long story, not worth writing about. If it wasn’t for Mike’s partner Zack, I would have gone crazy. He kept me going with great stories of travel and hope for the future. I want to thank all involved for the great start of my week.

Funny stuff for Sure!!!

Some Live Shit

I caught these guys live at SXSW this year, and they dropped jaws. Heavy polyrhythms on the drums, interesting instrumentation, and melody lines that are catchy enough to carry the more experimental elements. I definitely recommend copping this disc. Which you can do here. Check the homepage here, and catch them when they perform near you.
